Neuropathies

Overview

Neuropathy is a term covering various of neurological disorders. Neuropathies can affect a single nerve or multiple nerves throughout the body. They are caused by a variety of different conditions, such as diabetes, autoimmune diseases and cancer.

Neurologists prescribe immune globulin (IG) therapy to treat a variety of autoimmune neuropathies, often affecting the neuromuscular system. Increasing a patient’s immune globulin level can slow or modulate the inflammatory response of the body, as well as the progress of disorders.
