Israa Alia, RDN, MBA

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Israa helps people live healthier through proper nutrition. Her drive complements years of experience motivating and empowering patients.

Israa earned her Master of Business Administration from Dominican University. There, she performed 1,500 hours of hands-on dietetic training. Israa has a Bachelor of Science in dietetics from Benedictine University.

Libin Philip, PharmD

Clinical Education and Quality Improvement Manager

Libin makes sure Diplomat pharmacists, nurses, and technicians have the training and resources to provide safe and effective patient care.

Libin earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from Wayne State University. He’s pursuing his Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in leadership from the University of Michigan–Flint. Libin also sits on the board of directors for the Wayne County Pharmacists Association and the nonprofit Fighting AIDS with Nutrition.

Jennifer Hagerman, PharmD, FMPA

Vice President, Education & Quality; Residency Program Director

Overseeing internal education and quality assurance, Jennifer and her team prepare Diplomat employees to provide exceptional patient care.

Jennifer earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Ferris State University. She completed an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency at Borgess Medical Center. Jennifer has served as president of the Michigan Pharmacists Association and earned its Distinguished New Pharmacy Practitioner Award. She has also served as an associate professor for Ferris State University College of Pharmacy, and as a lecturer for University of Michigan-Flint School of Management.

Brooke Bliss, RPh

Associate Vice President, Operational Services

Brooke oversees operations at Diplomat. She develops strategies and policies to ensure that Diplomat provides quality care and optimized clinical outcomes. She coordinates activities for the organization and streamlines the patient experience, making sure patients are supported at every step of their journey.

Previously, Brooke was the pharmacy program development manager at HealthPlus of Michigan. There, she provided clinical leadership, operational process development, and oversight for the Medicare Part D program.

Brooke received her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Ferris State University.

Steven M. Schwartz, PhD

Manager, Clinical Research & Evaluation

Steven coordinates Diplomat’s clinical research. He reviews real-world studies to help design programs that improve patient outcomes.

Steven earned his doctorate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, specializing in health psychology and behavioral medicine. He has a master’s degree in experimental psychology from the College of William & Mary.

Stephanie LaPointe, PharmD, CSPO, FMPA

Director, Clinical Services; Residency Program Coordinator

Stephanie is responsible for Diplomat’s clinical services and product development. She helps develop and implement treatment plans tailored to patients and their diagnoses.

In 2012, Stephanie completed a postgraduate year one pharmacy practice residency at Diplomat, with a focus on specialty pharmacy. She spent eight years within Diplomat’s Education & Quality department.

Stephanie serves on the Education Committee for the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy and is a board member of the Michigan Pharmacy Foundation’s board of trustees.  She holds additional professional responsibilities at the local, state, and national level.
