14 March 07

Flint, Mich. Mar. 14, 2007—Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, a leader in Disease Management, announced today that their Crohn’s Navigator Program now provides Humira® for the treatment of Crohn’s disease. The announcement comes as the FDA approves Humira for the treatment of patients with Crohn’s disease.

“Our Patient Navigator Programs have quickly become known as a one-call prescription solution for doctors and their specialty patients.” stated Steve Chaffee, Sr. Vice President of Pharmacy Development. “Patients using medication to treat their Crohn’s disease require personal attention and monitoring of their therapy. As a smaller boutique, specialty pharmacy we offer that necessary level of care, and our high rates of patient compliance reflect our efforts. For example, our compliance numbers for psoriasis patients is at 93 percent, far above the national average. We also assist healthcare staff and their patients by navigating and initiating the prior authorization process.”
