Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy Hires Director of Purchasing and Finance

Flint, MI (Corporate Offices) January 31, 2006 – Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy today announced that Stephen Lund, a 25 year executive in the Pharmacy industry, joined the company’s management team as Director of Purchasing and Finance.

Lund, 52, is responsible for all manufacturer and wholesaler contracting and all aspects of the company’s financial management. He reports directly to Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy’s President and CEO, Philip Hagerman.

“Diplomat is thrilled to bring a pharmacy executive of Steve’s caliber and experience to our team. With the addition of 3 new locations in 2005 and sales projected to more than double in 2006, Steve’s management and financial expertise will be a tremendous asset for us,” Hagerman stated. “The addition of Steve will support our continued growth as an innovative industry leader.”

Before joining Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, Lund served as Category Manager for Rite Aid Corporation, managing its Photo business. He brings extensive experience in contract negotiation and purchasing from his prior experience including Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing for Perry Drug Stores, and Director of Purchasing for Treat Entertainment, a wholesale and merchandising company servicing Wal-Mart.

Lund began his career as a Pharmacist for Perry Drug Stores in Pontiac, Michigan. He holds a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy from Ferris State University.

Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy is an independently owned and operated, originating in Flint, Michigan over 30 years ago.
