Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy Hires Vice President of Clinical ServicesFlint, MI (Corporate Offices) April 6, 2006 – Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy today announced that Ronald Alexander has joined the company’s management team as Vice President of Clinical Services. . Alexander, will serve as Vice President of Clinical Services for the company. He reports directly to Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy’s President and CEO, Philip Hagerman. “The addition of Ron Alexander offers Diplomat the management and clinical expertise we need to expand into new areas of patient education. Ron’s years of experience as an industry executive, clinical pharmacist and educator will be invaluable to us as we develop Diplomat Health services, our new Disease Management division.” Hagerman stated. Alexander stated that, “It is professionally rewarding to bring my clinical team to an organization with a great history of dedicated patient services.”
Before joining Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, Alexander served as Clinical Pharmacy Manager for McLaren supplies pharmacy, a centralized home infusion pharmacy servicing four major hospitals in 22 counties. He brings extensive experience in patient care services from his prior experience including: Director of contracted pharmacy services for Pharmacy Systems Design, Inc., Director of Pharmacy Blue Care Network Health Centers, Administrative Director of Pharmacies for Hillcrest Healthcare Systems in Tulsa OK, Director of Pharmacy Services for Baptist St. Anthony’s Health System, Amarillo TX, and Director of Pharmacy Services at POH Medical Center.
Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy is an independently owned and operated, originating in Flint, Michigan over 30 years ago. In 2005, the company opened state of the art facilities in Grand Rapids, Michigan; Cleveland, Ohio; and Chicago, Illinois. The Cleveland location is a national distribution center for patients with CKD (chronic kidney disease) and ESRD (end state renal disease).
