With over 200 employees drawing from a diverse background of experience and education, Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy has the largest and most experienced staff of any independent specialty pharmacy in the nation. Additional certifications of our staff include: Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, a CCN (certified clinical nutritionist) a certified asthma educator, a diabetic educator and a nurse wellness coordinator. We are currently stocking and filling prescriptions for all requested biotech and specialty pharmaceuticals. Our staff has extensive experience in working with medications and disease states that most pharmacies have little knowledge of. We have programs available that can be fine tuned and adjusted to the needs of our clients and patients to manage each disease.

Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy’s Oncology Navigator program is now one of the most complete and innovative oncology drug therapy management programs in the nation. We currently provide oncology medications to patients throughout the U.S. Our Oncology Navigator program features insurance and financial assistance, Diplomat’s Medication CarePak™, monthly prescription reminders and free home delivery. The benefits of this program include increased drug access, reduced out-of-pocket co-payments and increased compliance. We regularly receive testimonials from patients telling us how much this program has helped them receive their necessary medications.

Our dialysis medication delivery program is also a national leader. Started in February 2003, we now serve over 3,000 patients at over 100 dialysis centers in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and Ohio. The program includes free medication delivery, patient monitoring, medication management, and clinic/physician reporting. It has already had a positive impact on the health and lives of many in this challenging patient population.

We have all departments in place to continue to grow and meet the needs of our patients and clients. Our dedicated billing department has the knowledge and ability to handle all insurance related issues including 3rd party, Medicare, and alternative insurances. Our shipping and prescription delivery department offers same day and next day delivery for our specialty patients at no additional charge.

We stay on the forefront of our industry by embracing and using the changes in technology to improve our processes and better serve our patients. We were the first independent pharmacy in Michigan to install the new generation of prescription robotics for improved patient safety and efficiency. We have worked closely with our software supplier to design reports and compliance tools to better manage our patient population. We are responsive and ready to move into e-prescribing. Plus, with the help from expert opinion, several leading software development companies, and internal clinical support, we are plotting a new course in modern healthcare technology using our electronic patient care system (eNAV). Within this streamline, state-of-the-art software are housed the core pieces of our pre-existing high-touch patient care models, now trancended into the digital world.
